1^st National Undergraduate Research Symposium

3^rd Undergraduate Research Symposium 2018

The 3^rd Undergraduate Research Symposium was organized by the Ruhuna Science Research Circle (RUSREC) of Faculty of Science, University of Ruhuna, Matara, Sri Lanka on 9^th December 2018. This was organized in commemoration of the 40^th Anniversary of university. This was the 1^st Undergraduate Research Symposium organized by RUSREC for all the state university students in Sri Lanka. The objective of National Research Symposium was to bring together the interested undergraduate research students of all Sri Lankan state universities and to provide them an international platform to share their research findings on various themes. The Research Symposium had decided to broaden the symposium themes in order to accommodate as many areas as possible including areas Science, Technology, Arts, Management and Finance.

The National Undergraduate Symposium 2018, provided an opportunity for all undergraduates to present and discuss their research findings in an international scientific forum.

The National Undergraduate Symposium 2018, invited the researches to submit their abstracts of the relevant researches on following key areas.

1^st Undergraduate Research Symposium 2015

The 1^st Undergraduate Research Symposium was organized by the Ruhuna Science Research Circle (RUSREC) of Faculty of Science, University of Ruhuna, Matara, Sri Lanka on 4^th November 2015. The Annual Research Symposium was initiated as a regular event with this. The goal of organizing an Undergraduate Symposium was to bring leading academics, researchers and scholars to exchange and share their experience and research results on all spheres to a common platform.

The 1^st Research Symposium provided the opportunity only for the Undergraduate Researches of University of Ruhuna on various fields of science. This opened up a new avenue in the Faculty of Science where young undergraduates can develop their many essential research skills. It was further expected that undergraduate symposium continued to foster young researchers in various fields. This symposium generated new ideas, solutions and concepts for various problems that society suffers.

The 1^st Undergraduate Research Symposium 2015, had invited researchers to submit their original contributions on the following areas.
