The Youth Action Network (YAN) and Ruhuna Science Research Circle (RUSREC) with Centre for Drug Research Information and Prevention (DRIP) organized an awareness program for the public. This was specially organized for International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking collaborating with ADIC Sri Lanka, National Authority of Tobacco and Alcohol and Presidential Task Force on Drug Prevention on the 28th June 2019 at Matara district.
The Ruhuna Science Research Circle (RUSREC) organized a field visit to “Ridiyagama '' in order to investigate the day to day and enduring problems faced by the villagers and to identify the hidden traditional knowledge of them. Other than that, we organized another field visit to “Lankagama” to understand the day to day and long-term difficulties faced by the villagers via PRA techniques for working towards practical solutions.
