The University Botanical Society is a student society, which works for the advancement of knowledge in the field of plant sciences, appreciates and helps in conserve nature. The society organizes various project activities, talks, and guest lectures regarding current aspects of Science and Technology to stimulate an active interest in Botany and related fields, as well as job opportunities after completing the Botany special degree program. Members of the society actively participate in exhibitions, field visits and disseminate to knowledge for A/L students. While appreciating nature is one of our major motives, we are perpetually obliged to share what we yield with the general public. "PLANTA" is the scientific journal of the University Botanical Society containing current research news, published annually, and it has gained outstanding success and wide recognition.
